Smith save gives Buddies derby win
St Mirren 0
Morton 0
(aet; St Mirren won 4-2 on penalties)
NINETEEN-year-old goalkeeper Chris Smith was St Mirren's hero in an entertaining Renfrewshire derby at Love Street last night. His penalty save from Scott McLaughlin enabled the Buddies to win a penalty shoot-out and go through to face Hamilton Academical in the Bell's Cup final.
But there has to be sympathy for Morton, who made light of being one league lower than their hosts to have the better of play.
