Sean St Ledger blow as Celtic move blocked
PRESTON defender Sean St Ledger has expressed his disappointment at being denied the opportunity to join Celtic.
The Republic of Ireland defender was the subject of at least one bid by the SPL club last month but the move never materialised. St Ledger is now focused on his career at Deepdale but says Preston chairman Derek Shaw failed to keep him informed of developments.
The centre-half said: "Everyone who plays for Ireland always has a link with Celtic. It would have been massive for me. The club didn't accept the bid but it would have been nice if the chairman had returned my calls."
