Scotland sink to 33rd in FIFA rankings
SCOTLAND have continued to fall rapidly down the FIFA world rankings, with their goalless draw against Norway consigning them to 33rd place.
George Burley's team tumbled seven positions last month, following a 10-place fall in October.
Scotland's new position is 20 below their record high, achieved in October 2007.
The World Cup qualifying draw against Norway – now ranked 54th – has seen Ecuador, Serbia, Ivory Coast, Switzerland, Nigeria, Sweden and Poland all leapfrog the Scots.
Spain remain top of the list – with Holland, Scotland's next World Cup opponents, in fourth.
Argentina, who visit Hampden for a friendly next week, are in sixth – while England have returned to the top 10 following Fabio Capello's promising start as manager.
The Republic of Ireland are three places behind Scotland, after moving up two spots.
Northern Ireland also slide seven places to 42nd, while Wales slip one to sit 62nd.
