Scotland slide to 49th in rankings

SCOTLAND are down eight places to No 49 in the latest Fifa rankings, while Brazil slumped to an all-time low of 11th, and England climbed to No 4 despite their Euro 2012 disappointment.

Tahiti surged 41 places after their win at the Oceania Nations Cup. Performances at Euro 2012 had an impact on places, with winners Spain staying top, semi-finalists Germany moving up a spot to second and runners-up Italy jumped from 12th to sixth. The Netherlands dropped from fourth to eighth.
