Round up
Whitehill Welfare 1- 0 Coldstream
WHITEHILL maintained their position as league leaders with a 100 per cent record against a Coldstream side which was without several key players. There were chances for both sides in the first half and Robin Brown almost opened the scoring for Coldstream with a header then Scott Agnew hit the crossbar. The goal which proved to be the winner was scored five minutes before half-time. Whitehill won the ball on the touchline and when the cross came in Gary Calvey rose to head the ball past Scott Lumsden in the Coldstream goal.

In the second half Athletic mounted attack upon attack with Olsson shaving the upright, a McDougal header and shot bringing out good saves from Turnbull and Coults twice coming close with shots. But Eyemouth took the lead five minutes from half-time when Paterson cleverly played the ball through to James Wilson who beat John Gilbertson from 15 yards with a well placed shot. The second half was a complete change, and it was all Tynecastle, and they equalised after 52 minutes. A pacey counter attack and good passing gave Robbie Arthur a glorious chance, and he fired the ball beyond Walters from the edge of the area. ORMISTON broke the deadlock with seven minutes gone when Jimmy Campbell produced the scoring touch in chipping a shot over the head of Hawick keeper Scott Dowie. Within a minute Luke Cooper put Hawick on level terms in finding the bottom corner of the net with a well-struck drive. After both sides had squandered chances Ormiston regained their lead in the 54th minute. David Cheyne emerging the marksman in taking advantage of some poor Hawick defending to rattle a shot past Dowie. The woodwork then robbed Ormiston of another strike when Heyes headed a Paul Lynch free kick against the bar. In the 67th minute Cheyne put Hawick into further arrears. Following the dismissal of Hawick's Luke Cooper for a second bookable offence Campbell brought an end to the scoring by thundering in a Lynch free kick.

Ten minutes before half-time, Begg had to withdraw with a knee injury and midfielder Phil Green donned the gloves. Watt went in front again early in the second half, Olly Antoni following up to score when a shot by Mark Wells was blocked on the line, but Vale struck back quickly when Ryan McManus turned in a cutback by Greig Shortreed.
