Robbie Savage attacks the Welsh

Scotland’s World Cup opponents next month, Wales, have become a “laughing stock” according to former international Robbie Savage.

Chris Coleman’s men have endured a dreadful start to their campaign, losing 2-0 at home to Belgium, before being annihilated 6-1 in Serbia.

The meeting between the home nations in Cardiff on October 12 has quickly become a pivotal encounter for both sides, and Savage doesn’t hold out much hope for the country he represented 39 times.

Savage said candidly: “The first few games Chris has been in charge of, including two qualifiers, have been very, very poor. The performance against Serbia took us back to the days when Wales were a laughing stock.

We lost 6-1, not to a
Germany, an Italy or a Holland – but to Serbia. It was embarrassing.

“But we have to give him time. The time to judge the manager is at the end of the qualification campaign.”
