McGinn desperate to get the Tranent bandwagon rolling once more

Tranent will be looking to get their South League campaign back on track tomorrow following last week’s shock
defeat to Dunbar.

Tranent, many pundits’ tip for the title, face Spartans at home tomorrow and manager Chris McGinn said: “It’s work in progress at the club. There’s still a lot of work to do here and the last three results show that.

“We’ll make changes tomorrow and we’ll be looking for a response from the players. It’s still going to be very difficult to get out of this league because every side can take points from each other and one or two good results can put you in prime position. Games have an
added edge to them now
because every side believes they can get promotion, making it a hard league to get out of.

“Grant Dick took a knock last week and will be out for three or four weeks but everyone else is fit.”

Spartans boss Alec Cunningham is going to Tranent to get a result. “Tranent were on a good roll but hit the skids recently. But it’s always a hard place to get points. It’s not beyond us because we can lift our game as we did against St Andrews.

“I take the blame for some of our results since I took over and it’s a learning curve for us here. It’s a league that’s hard to figure out. No two weeks turn out as planned and all we can do is go to Tranent and give it our best shot.”

Falkirk are at home to
Livingston with Harthill travelling to Stoneyburn. Title favourites Fauldhouse entertain Dunbar while another title favourite, Haddington, are at Blackburn. Arniston Rangers host West Calder.
