Lewin Nyatanga gets Wales call-up for Scotland tie

WALES manager Chris Coleman has added Lewin Nyatanga to his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and Croatia.

Coleman was hit by the withdrawals of Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen and Leeds United striker Steve Morison due to injury over the weekend, with Millwall forward Jermaine Easter the only immediate replacement. But the FAW has confirmed that Bristol City defender Nyatanga, 24, will be given the opportunity to add to his 34 caps in a game where Wales are looking to build on their encouraging win over Austria last month in the qualifying double-header.

Coleman’s men are second-bottom of Group A, seven points adrift of pacesetters Croatia and Belgium.
