Leith started this Alex Jack Cup tie brightly and opened the scoring when Stephen Barrie was left unmarked in the box before slotting home.A few minutes later and Dougie Thom doubled Leith’s advantage with a powerful shot from the edge of the box. Thom got his second when he was again left unmarked in the box.

Lachlan Thom got on the scoresheet when he broke into the Easthouses box and his thundering shot left the keeper with no chance.

Just before the interval, Easthouses pulled one back when Ryan McQueenie was at the back post to head home. However, a minute later, Thom was then played in and he again smashed the ball into the net.

Things slowed down in the second half and the only real action came near the death when Chris Barrie broke away from the Easthouses defence and with the keeper bearing down he prodded the ball into the net.
