Lee appointed to direct US bid
DISPLAYING the razzmatazz we all know and love about the country, the United States have turned to film director Spike Lee to aid their bid for the 2018/2022 World Cup.
The Oscar-nominated director has accepted an invitation to join the board of directors for the US bid. Lee, a professed Arsenal supporter, joins a board including New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, Walt Disney Company CEO Robert Iger, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger.
