Highland League: Kirkwood sees first win as Brora stem losing run

Brora Rangers ended a run of five defeats as they grabbed a 2-1 victory at Keith. The Sutherland side triumphed for the first time under former Rangers and Ross County coach Davie Kirkwood in a strong display at Kynoch Park.

It was Brora’s third away win of the season and a morale-boosting triumph with most of the north sides on Scottish Cup duty. Craig Campbell hit the opener as reward for a strong Brora start with a 15-yard strike after 12 minutes.

Steven Mackay doubled the lead after 54 minutes, while Gary MacNamee pulled one back on the hour.

The only other scheduled match, between Fort William and visiting Lossiemouth was rained off.
