Faroes date irks McLeish
SCOTLAND boss Alex McLeish has hit out at the timing of the Euro 2008 qualifier against the Faroe Islands.
The Scots face the Faroes on June 6 and McLeish feels playing a clash 17 days after the SPL season ends makes life difficult when players drop out through injury.
He said: "I'm not a great lover of playing into June. I think FIFA and UEFA have to look at that a bit closer. When you get to this stage of the season and if you lose six or seven players then other players are committed to going on holiday."
