Defender King to sign for Inverness

Inverness have announced that Gillingham defender Simon King will be their latest and last summer recruit.

The 29-year-old will sign for Caley Thistle tomorrow when his contract with Gillingham expires, after featuring for the SPL club during pre-season.

King has been suffering from a thigh strain but manager Terry Butcher expects the former Barnet player to be fit for Saturday afternoon’s SPL opener at St Mirren Park.
