Csaba Laszlo refuses to comment on talks with Hearts board

HEARTS manager Csaba Laszlo has remained silent on reports that he is fraustrated with the lack of signings at the club.

A frustrated Laszlo revealed after Saturday's dispiriting 2-1 Clydesdale Bank Premier League defeat to St Johnstone he wanted urgent discussions with his bosses, seemingly to re-iterate the need for the Jambos to sign a new striker.

The aftermath of the Saints match saw the club forced to deny rumours Laszlo had quit, something the manager himself laughed off earlier this week.

He was in more serious mood in his weekly press conference this morning when asked if the discussions he sought had taken place.

"I don't like to talk about this," he said.

"I'll answer every question but I think at the moment it is not necessary to say something which maybe afterwards is not correct.

"This is all I can say at this point."

Reiterating his previous stance on his future, he added: "If I have the protection, if it's possible to do what I want to be successful, I don't have any problem staying here for 10 years, also to extend my contract."

Meanwhile, Laszlo revealed his fears Andrew Driver's troublesome knee injury could prove as serious as that suffered by Owen Hargreaves.

Winger Driver was today visiting a specialist in London to get to the bottom of a problem that has seen him in and out of the Hearts side all season.

Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves has been out for more than a year with tendonitis, amid reports his entire career was under threat.

Laszlo hopes Driver's injury does not prove as serious but said: "It's a very difficult problem which can be a little bit like Hargreaves."
