Connolly singled out

VETERAN striker Paddy Con-nolly has been identified as a Brechin City danger man tonight when they travel to Hampden for their Scottish Cup first-round replay with Queen's Park.

The home club's manager, Billy Stark, said: "Paddy was a player with me when I was manager at St Johnstone and I also took him to Morton. There is no doubting his ability, he is a very intelligent player."

Queen's have doubts over Mark Ferry, who has an ankle knock, and Tony Quinn (hamstring) but Brechin manager Michael O'Neill also has injury worries, over Steve Ferguson, Ross Archibald, Ian Russell, Charlie King and Grant Johnston.

The reward for winning tonight's game is a home tie against Preston Athletic.
