Changing Room Chat: Wayne Rooney colt gets unusual moniker

MANCHESTER United and England striker Wayne Rooney has named his two-year-old colt Switcharooney.

Rooney joined the owners’ ranks at Tom Dascombe’s Manor House Stables in Cheshire, with the yard part-owned by United team mate Michael Owen. The Owen connection has already led to a flood of United players stabling horses at Manor House. Rooney and his wife Coleen have two horses with Dascombe, the other an unraced three-year-old called Tomway. Switcharooney is a son of the top-class Bahamian Bounty.
