Changing Room Chat: No slow down for retired Ballack

FORMER Germany captain Michael Ballack could lose his license plus face a fine of e10,000 after being caught speeding on a Spanish highway.

The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich player appeared in court in Trujillo to challenge the charges yesterday, a day after being clocked at 211 kph (131 mph) in a 120 kph (75 mph) zone. Ballack will be sentenced on 31 October and faces a fine that amounts to paying e30 per day across 11 months. He could lose his license for two years, although that penalty can be enforced only in Spain.
