CELTIC manager Neil Lennon has said he would consider a future move to manage in the English Premier League.

• Neil Lennon: “You never know where football can take you”

• His young Celtic side are turning heads in this season’s Champions League

• The Celtic manager says he’s happy at Parkhead at the moment.

Lennon’s profile has risen in recent weeks due to his side’s impressive run in the Champions League, and despite currently being happy in his role at Parkhead, a chance to manage in England’s top flight would interest him.

Neil Lennon said: “I’m ambitious, obviously, and maybe one day, if I’m still good enough, a Premier League team might shine the eyes at me and it’ll be something to consider,

“But I’m very happy here at the minute. I love what I do here and obviously I have great feeling and affinity with the support and the club. I’m a work in progress and, if something comes up later on in my career, who knows?

“You can’t think too far ahead in football because you never know what’s around the corner. You just never know where football takes you.”

“We have to work with a small budget due to the economic climate we’re in Scotland. We don’t have the TV revenue the guys get in England.

“We’ve gone down the road of trying to get younger players and developing them, turning them into real assets while still trying to be successful on the pitch.

“I enjoy that and we’ve got a great bunch here. They’re young and at times a little naive but you get that with younger players.

“They’ve really excelled this season and shown great maturity in the games.”

Lennon has spent time in England before, spending over ten seasons in English football as a player. The Celtic boss had spells with Crewe Alexandra, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers.
