Brittain swaps Ross County for Saints

ROSS County captain Richard Brittain has agreed a pre-contract agreement with the Staggies’ SPL rivals St Johnstone.

The midfielder, who has spent four and a half years at Ross County since moving to Dingwall from Livingston, was out of contract in the summer and Saints Steve Lomas has moved quickly to secure a deal with the 29-year-old.

Brittain has risen through the divisions with the Dingwall side, having joined them from the West Lothian club while they were in the third tier of Scottish football.

Brittain has been in good form for Ross County this season, netting five goals in 21 appearances this season, including one against Celtic.
