Rangers have been forced to send out a request for fans to return Petrofac Cup final tickets that were sent out accidentally.

The administrative error saw a number of fans, thought to be around 1000, receive double the allocation they requested. So those that asked for one ticket got two, two received four and so on, at no extra cost.

To make sure the tickets end up in the right hands, Rangers are asking those who’ve been given more than their share to send them back to the club.

A club statement read: “Due to an administration error, a small number of ticket orders for the Petrofac Training Cup final on Sunday 10 April have been duplicated.

“Those supporters who have been affected have been sent a postage-piad envelope and requested to return duplicate tickets.

“The club would like to apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
