Mike Ashley’s close associates Derek Llambias and Barry Leach have held a meeting with controversial former Rangers director Brian Stockbridge, it was reported today.
Video footage was allegedly taken showing Derek Llambias and Barry Leach emerging from a meeting with Stockbridge on Wednesday night at the same hotel in which the Scotland team are staying, Mar Hall,
The Record have reported that the meeting was arranged as an opportunity for Ashley’s team to clear up some financial issues surrounding the former director’s tenure with the club.
A source close to Llambias assured the Daily Record that Brian Stockbridge would not be making a return to the boardroom. The source said: “If fans are concerned that Stockbridge might be coming back to the club, we can tell them categorically, there is no chance of that happening. Never in a million years.”
