Rangers chairman Dave King will unfurl the Ladbrokes Championship league flag ahead of the club’s first game back in the top flight.

Mark Warburton’s side won the second tier at a canter last term and will kick off the 2016-17 season when they face Hamilton at Ibrox on Saturday.

They will unfurl the flag prior to kick-off and it has been decided that King will do the honours.

In recent seasons former captain Lee McCulloch and legendary player Sandy Jardine unfurled the flag on opening day after the club won League One and League Two, respectively.
