A TEENAGE Raith Rovers player has become an internet hit after scoring an outrageous long-range goal that puts David Beckham’s famous wonder strike for Manchester United to shame.

Tiegan Clark, 17, from Kirkcaldy, calmly controlled an opposition clearance before sending the ball rocketing into the goal from 40 yards.

The Kirkcaldy High School pupil’s dramatic strike took place during an under-17s game between Hibs Ladies and Raith Rovers Ladies at Easter Road.

Almost 46,000 people have watched the Youth Football Scotland video since it was posted on the Rovers Facebook page.

Clark’s goal came in the 50th minute of an East/South East league decider.

Hibs eventually won the match 3-2.
