Stevenson walked away from Raith Rovers earlier this month after admitting he had fallen out of love with the sport.

He’ll now join the Ayrshire side, who play in the West of Scotland Super League Premier Division.

The 32-year-old previously played in the top flight with Hearts for four years, either side of a brief spell with Ipswich Town.

He scored twice in the club’s 2013 Scottish League Cup final loss to St Mirren.
