Hearts will play Infonet Tallinn from Estonia in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
Should the Jambos overcome that hurdle they will play either Siroki Brijeg or Birkirkara in the second qualifying round.
Hearts previously played Siroki Brijeg in the qualifying rounds for the Champions League in 2006. They defeated the Bosnian side 3-0 on aggregate.
Maltese club Birkirkara went very close to defeating West Ham United in last year’s competition, eventually exiting after a penalty shoot-out.
The first leg match against Infonet is due to take place on Thursday, June 30, in Estonia, with the second leg a week later on July 7 at Tynecastle.
The second qualifying round tie will take place over two legs on July 14 and July 21.
Hearts’ last foray into Europe was in season 2012/13 when they were defeated 2-1 on aggregate by Liverpool in the Europa League play-off round.
