GOALS in either half were enough to give Accies their fourth win in five games under interim manager Alex Neil.

Scorers: Hamilton Academical - May 52; Ryan 90

Hamilton looked like a team high on confidence as they knocked the ball around but a cutting edge often proved elusive.

That almost changed in 20 minutes when Ali Crawford’s 20-yard shot shaved the upright.

The deadlock was broken early in the second half when Grant Gillespie made a purposeful break before feeding Stevie May whose dipping 25-yard shot flew in.

May missed a further two chances in quick succession as Hamilton turned the screw.

Instead they were almost punished for a moment of slackness at the back but Brian Graham squandered Raith’s best chance.

Accies finally doubled their lead with the last kick of the ball, Andy Ryan converting May’s cut back.
