They are in separate divisions next season but Dundee and Dundee United will be linked by a common sponsor.

The clubs yesterday announced details of a two-year deal with the law firm McEwan Fraser Legal. The name will appear on both sides’ new kits which were modelled by players on top of Dundee Law, with United trio Scott Fraser, Simon Murray and Ali Coote in attendance, alongside Dundee duo Cammy Kerr and Craig Wighton.

United were relegated from the Premiership, with Dundee confirming their demotion by beating them at Dens Park earlier this month.
