DON’T you wish your right back was Cha Du-ri?

The South Korean defender, who made 43 appearances for Celtic, chipped in with an assist as Uli Stielike’s team defeated Uzbekistan in extra time in the Asian Cup quarter finals.

A second-half substitute for Kim Chang-soo, Cha - who wasn’t selected for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil - picked up the ball in his own half, before rolling back the years and scampering down the wing at high speed.

Cha cut the ball back for Bayer Leverkusen striker Son Heung-min, whose shot evaded Ignatiy Nesterov in the Uzbekistan goal.

South Korea will take on either Iran or Iraq, who go head-to-head on January 23rd.

Cha is currently plying his trade for South Korean outfit FC Seoul. The team has appeared in four films, three television series and two reality TV shows.
