Celtic have reached an agreement with Turkish side Galatasaray to sell midfielder Stefan Johansen, according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish broadcasters Lig TV claim that a deal has already been agreed, with the Norwegian set to join for a fee believed to be around £1.1 million.

It would bring Johansen’s spell with Celtic to an end after two-and-a-half years. The Norway international was initially signed by Neil Lennon but truly flourished when his former manager Ronny Deila took over at Celtic Park.

He rounded off a terrific first full season by claiming the SPFA Players’ Player of the Year award, though his play regressed sharply last season as he struggled with injuries and loss of form.

He still managed to help the club retain the Ladbrokes Premiership crown in three successive years and made over 100 appearances during his time in Glasgow.
