Scott Sinclair underwent a medical in Glasgow on Saturday morning ahead of his proposed move to Celtic.
The Aston Villa winger is close to completing a move to the Scottish champions for a fee in the region of £3.5 million.
He had his medical at the Ross Hall private hospital then chatted to fans outside.
Sinclair is a player Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers knows having worked with him at Chelsea and Swansea City.
Rodgers acknowledged a deal for the player was close at his press conference on Friday.
“There’s no smoke without fire and there’s been a lot of smoke,” the Celtic manager said.
“Scott’s a player I know well. I’d hope to sign a player before the weekend.”
Celtic open the defence of their league title against Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday.
Later this month they face the Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva in the play-off round of the Champions League.
