Sponsors put off by state of SPFL - Ross County chair

Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor has warned that the SPFL will not be able to attract a new sponsor until it puts its house in order. He says that the demotion of Rangers, relegation of Hearts and Hibs alongside the fact that Celtic are starved of competition in the top flight means that the set up is unattractive to commercial sponsors. Ally McCoist may “do walking away”

Rangers manager Ally McCoist says the turmoil that the Ibrox club is embroiled in could lead him to walking away from the club.

He said: “There is absolutely no doubt that time will come. One hundred per cent it will come. I cannot give you a timescale, but I can tell you right now it will come.

“But there is so much work to get done and I want to continue with that.”
