MARSEILLE have reportedly offered Celtic’s on-loan striker John Guidetti a bumper £11.5 million deal to move to France in the summer.
Including a £60,000-a-week wage offer, the Ligue 1 club’s offer will leave Hoops chiefs sweating over their bid to keep the 22-year-old striker in Glasgow.
Guidetti, who is on loan from Manchester City, snatched a late equaliser to give Celtic a 3-3 draw with Inter last week, keeping Celtic’s Europa League chances alive.
The striker embarked on a sensational scoring run after signing for Ronny Deila’s team, hitting nine goals in 10 games, but encountered a goal drought before that all-important European goal.
Guidetti, who had a £25 million buyout clause in his contract at Manchester City in 2012, has been linked with Marseille before, who had scouts watch him during a match against Inverness CT.
Southampton, Hull City and Inter have also been credited with an interest in the past.
