The Scottish international was about to take a corner on the left when coins began raining down on the player from the home crowd.

Referee Alejandro José Hernández Hernández was completely unmoved by the player’s complaints, bizarrely telling him to stop time wasting.

Griffiths returned to the corner flag to have another go, only for a glass bottle to fly past his head.

The striker went to pick up the bottle to show to the official, only to receive a yellow card for his trouble.

Celtic won the Champions League qualifying second round, first leg clash 2-0 thanks to early goals from Scott Sinclair and Tom Rogic.
