Celtic have recalled Ryan Christie from his loan period with Inverness.
The attacking midfielder signed for the Parkhead side from Caley Thistle in August on a four-year deal but was loaned back to John Hughes’ team.
But Celtic have now decided to end the season-long loan deal early and he will join up with the champions in January.
A Celtic statement said: “Celtic can confirm that it will exercise the option of bringing Ryan Christie back to the club in January, ending his season-long loan spell with Inverness Caley Thistle.”
Christie, 20, was voted Scotland’s Young Player of the Year last season by the Scottish Football Writers’ Association.
He is currently recovering from a knee injury sustained against Motherwell in November.
