Celtic are reported to be interested in free agent and former Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra.
After a turbulent start to the season manager Ronny Deila is looking to bolster his squad. The midfield has provided a problematic area for the Norwegian, with a shifting rotation of players and the lack of an obvious partner for captain Scott Brown in the centre of the park. The experienced Frenchman could provide an obvious solution.
Diarra has been without a club since leaving Lokomotiv Moscow earlier this year and had a possible move to Premier League outfit QPR collapse in the summer.
The former France international made 44 appearances in the English top flight for Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth before making a move to Real Madrid, and then to Russia with Anzhi Makhachkala and Lokomotiv.
However, Diarra’s wage demands may provide a stumbling block.
