SPL Fanzone: St Mirren

The title fight is well and truly on. OK, there may only be two games gone, but the SPL table quite clearly shows us at the top of it. If this is what we can expect after Scottish football’s Armageddon then bring it on.

The fixture list did hand us a relatively kind start but we still had to make that count – and almost didn’t against Inverness Caley Thistle on the opening day. The trip to Dens Park on Saturday could have been a banana skin with Dundee up for it following their late promotion, but we were able to see them off in clinical style. Kenny McLean’s stunner means the goal of the season competition is as good as over, while Sam Parkin took his goal well.

Who would have thought that, after our troubles in front of goal last year, we’d be top scorers – and top of the SPL – after a couple of weeks?
