Spartans to face strong Hearts side

Hearts boss John McGlynn has vowed to play a strong side as the Tynecastle outfit face Spartans this evening.

The encounter at Ainslie Park will see the Edinburgh clubs compete for the Ronnie Swan Trophy, with a 7.30pm kick-off.

McGlynn confirmed: “We’ve got a few boys away on international duty, and we wish them all the best, but we’ll look to play as many players as possible who are left behind to keep them sharp.”

Jamie Walker is likely to be one of those who are given game-time against the East of Scotland league outfit.
