Malcolm Murray to remain as Rangers chairman
Under-fire Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray is to remain in his role at the Ibrox club despite complaints that he was speaking about the club’s business too openly.
Murray’s position was reportedly saved after he gave assurances to the board that the issues raised by some directors would not occur again.
City investors had warned that any instability in the boardroom would make investors jittery and affect the club’s share price. (Mail)

Former Celtic winger stole into Swindon Town’s stadium and tore down pictures of his successful reign at the club in the early hours of yesterday morning using keys he had kept since resigning on Monday after 21 months in charge. (Mail)
Motherwell offer Stuart McCall new deal
The Fir Park side have offered manager Stuart McCall a new three year deal following his successful tenure at the club having led them to third spot in the SPL last season and the Scottish Cup final in 2011. He is out of contract in the summer. (Express)

Hearts receive cut-price payment for Lee Wallace
Rangers have given the Tynecastle club a payment of £400,000 for defender Lee Wallace as the final instalment of the defender’s transfer to Ibrox. The payment is £100,000 short of the £500,000 payment they had been expected to make in June.
Wallace joined the Glasgow club for £1.5m in August 2011 and despite the oldco club being liquidated the new club are settling transfer monies owed by the former entity.
The Ibrox side also this week settled an outstanding balance owed to Rapid Vienna for Nikica Jelavic. (Scotsman)
Derek McInnes won’t rule himself out of running for Dundee job
Derek McInnes has refused to rule himself out of contention for the vacant Dundee job despite one time being a player for the club’s rivals Dundee United.

Kevin Thompson would be welcomed back to Hibs says supporters chief
The 28 year-old has been training with the Easter Road club and it has been reported that he could be set for transfer to Pat Fenlon’s side.
The forward moved to Rangers in a £2m deal in 2007 with the switch leaving a bitter taste with many of the Easter Road support.
