HEARTS are to release a commemorative DVD of their historic Scottish Cup final victory over Hibs, which is expected to become one of the club’s biggest selling products this year.

Although a launch date is yet to be confirmed, the DVD is likely to be available some time in July. Tynecastle supporters will be eager to secure themselves a copy of the famous 5-1 victory at Hampden Park in the first all-Edinburgh cup final for 116 years.

Two goals from Rudi Skacel, plus others by Darren Barr, Ryan McGowan and a Danny Grainger penalty secured an emphatic win for Hearts in arguably the biggest match in their history on May 19.

The club have confirmed to the Evening News that they are planning to mark the achievement by producing a DVD of the day, including the game itself and the post-match celebrations. An official release date will be announced in due course.

Hearts unveiled a new home strip yesterday as part of a new partnership with kit manufacturers Adidas. That officially goes on sale on July 5, although pre-orders are being taken now. A new away kit was be released earlier this month but the cup final DVD is likely to prove a must-have for fans who wish to remember their day at Hampden for years to come.
