Hearts Women can secure their place in the end-of-season promotion play-offs if they beat second-bottom Football Club of Edinburgh on Sunday.

Victory would secure Hearts the Second Division (South-East) title – the women’s game is played per calendar year – and they will be confident of doing so after racking up a double-figure score in the last meeting between the sides.

However, winning on Sunday will be no guarantee of promotion to the second tier of Scottish women’s football. Instead the winners of the four regional leagues play-off for three places in the First Division. Hearts have hit 99 goals this term.
