MIDFIELDER Murray Davidson has signed a short-term deal with St Johnstone to allow him to continue his recovery from serious injury, the William Hill Scottish Cup winners have announced.

Davidson, 26, who was out of contract this weekend, continues his rehabilitation following the torn patella tendon injury which ended his season in January in a match against Hearts.

Manager Tommy Wright told the club’s official website: “We’re glad Muzz is making good progress and the club had told him that we would give him the time to get fit.

“I’m delighted he’s agreed the short-term deal and both parties will revisit it in August.

“I know and Saints supporters know what an asset a fit Murray Davidson can be to the team.”
