GOALKEEPER Marian Kello has signed a new one-year contract with St Mirren, the Paisley club have confirmed.

Kello, 31, signed for Saints last October and made 24 appearances, recording six clean sheets in the process, and will be part of new manager Tommy Craig’s plans until the summer of 2015.

Defender Mo Yaqub, 20, has also signed up for another year.

Mark Williams and Adam Brown have stepped up from the Academy to the first team squad having penned one-year deals and Declan Hughes also moves up having signed a contract until January 15, 2015.

Craig is delighted to retain the services of Slovakian international Kello.

He told the club’s official website: “He had an impressive season right up until the last four or five weeks when he picked up an injury and we couldn’t play him.

“Overall, he came here and impressed everyone at the club with his professionalism and his talent as a goalkeeper is there for everyone to see.

“To get him on board for another year is good news for me and the fans.”

Craig claims there is nothing to report with regards Scotland Under-21 midfielder Kenny McLean, who has been linked with a move to Rangers, among others.

He said: “There’s been no further movement on Kenny McLean, and everything else is as it was.”
