Hearts striker John Sutton is in talks with Aberdeen about a possible summer move.
Sutton’s contract is up and with Hearts set to slash their wage bill a move away from Tynecastle is on the cards according to the Daily Record.
Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is said to be an admirer of former Tottenham Hotspur trainee Sutton, who has scored 12 goals in 50 appearances for Hearts.
Aberdeen released a number of their squad at the end of the season, including some first team players, in a bid to revamp their side.
McInnes has spoken about improving his team’s goal threat and Sutton could fill that gap for the Dons as they look to improve their attacking prowess.
29-year-old Sutton has played for 11 clubs in his career, including spells at Raith, Millwall, Dundee, Motherwell and St Mirren.
