Faero swaps Forfar for the World Cup

FORFAR defender Odmar Faero will swap Albion Rovers’ Cliftonhill ground on Saturday for the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna on Friday night after joining up with the Faroese international squad for a World Cup qualifier with Austria. The 23-year-old defender has already faced Germany, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland in his country’s qualification attempt for Brazil 2014.

Forfar manager Dick Campbell said: “We must be the only Second Division team losing a player for international matches this weekend.”
