Changing Room Chat: Brechin’s Wall Street stramash

BRECHIN chief Ken Ferguson thought he smelled a rat when he received a call from the American newspaper, The Wall Street Journal, asking for an interview in the build-up to their Ramsden’s Cup clash with Rangers this Sunday.

But the financial experts had come to Glebe Park to discuss the implications of the Rangers situation on small clubs across Scotland, and not for any pre-match analysis.

A stunned Ferguson reflected, “I never thought I’d see the day The Wall Street Journal came here. I’ll be honest about that.”
