Shiels and Black set to make comebacks

DEAN Shiels and Ian Black should both be back in contention for Rangers’ weekend trip to Stirling Albion.

The pair returned to training yesterday after Shiels was sidelined with a groin problem and Black was ruled out with a hamstring strain.

Striker Andy Little could return from a foot injury against Queen’s Park on 20 October, while David Templeton’s ligament damage will be reassessed in the next fortnight.

Manager Ally McCoist told RangersTV last night: “Our injury situation has picked up a little bit. Shielsy was back training today, as was wee Blackie, and we are hoping both of them came through it quite well because they looked fine.

“Andy Little and Temps are both longer term, but it’s good to have these guys coming back. Dean was a big miss for us at the weekend.”
