Robbie Savage says move to Rangers unlikely
FORMER Welsh international Robbie Savage says it is unlikely that he will be signing for Rangers.
The 37-year-old, who retired from Professional football last season, offered to play for Ally McCoist’s Division Three side via Twitter last month.
The TV pundit said he was willing to offer his services for free.
Ex-Derby and Blackburn player Savage had claimed on his social networking page that the offer was genuine and that he had been in touch with Ibrox chief executive Charles Green.
Savage said on the social networking site this morning that the move was unlikely to happen.
He tweeted: “Just a quick update on rangers the offer is there and it will remain all season ally has my number and knows if he needs me I’ll be there !
“But it’s not going to happen at this moment, they have a good squad for div 3, and don’t need an old codger like me ! Lol”.
