Clyde hit out over plastic pitch delay

Clyde have hit out at the operators of Broadwood Stadium after being forced to switch their first home league game to Alloa’s Recreation Park.

A new astro-turf surface is being fitted at the ground but it has been deemed not yet fit for purpose despite the club claiming they were assured by North Lanarkshire Leisure it would be in place for Saturday’s clash with Peterhead.

A club spokesperson said: “Everyone associated with the club is bitterly disappointed at having been let down in this way after the assurances received.”
