Ryan Thomson warned to focus on football

Dunfermline manager Jim Jefferies has urged midfielder Ryan Thomson to focus on football after the player returned to training.

The 21-year-old has not played since August 18 after breaching the Pars’ code of conduct and, according to the manager, “bringing the club into disrepute” due to an off-field incident.

However the player joined up with the rest of the squad this week and will come into contention for the Pars’ weekend trip to Dumbarton.

Jefferies said: “After a promising start to the season he has lost his place in the team due to his own actions.

“It is up to Ryan to win his place back and I believe he has the quality to do that.”
