McNamee off to Nuneaton

FORMER Scotland and Livingston defender David McNamee has joined Nuneaton Town in the Blue Square Premier League and could make his debut tonight against Hereford United, writes BARRY ANDERSON.

“I’ve spent the majority of my career playing at right back, and that is where I am most natural. I’m a tough tackler, committed, experienced and can add a bit of steel to the squad,” said
McNamee, now 31.

“I met my partner while at Coventry and I like the area. I want to finish my career local to her and Nuneaton is a good place to do that. I’ve had offers to play further away but once Nuneaton were interested it was the best move for
everyone.”
